From My Point of View: Why I Write

and why I choose to reveal them to the world —

After many self-deprecating acts along with a decent amount of self-encouragement, I decided to start to publish my written thoughts.

The idea of actually putting my writing on the internet, to be literally exposed to the world and letting people see a little too much glimpse of my convoluted mind — being written in a structured manner and themed ideas — would seem odd to my old self — it still kinda is now though.

I understand that uncovering the writings that I used to hide — or I planned to hide — will obviously gain more traction than by just thinking about it — which will be uneasy to face.

Nonetheless, I’m convinced that through this method I can improve my verbal spontaneousness, grammar, and diction by forcing myself to go out of my comfort zone and truly write.

Besides, if by writing I get more traction, and if that means I will be getting feedback and counter opinions that challenge my writing, then all of my manageable insecurities and grammar concerns would be a significant trade-off.

It’s hypocritical to say that I’m not worried about what other people would think about my writing. Knowing that some of my writings would probably be contentious and disputable or — at worst — boring, it may or may not disturb the tranquility of my peaceful and isolated mind in the scenario in which my writing is that problematic.

However, I am also aware that I wouldn’t have the capacity to reach everyone’s expectations with my thoughts per se. So with my minimum knowledge and not so much understanding of the world, maybe you and I can figure things out together along this writing journey. Moreover, I hope what I write about can give you much insight and — at least — a little inspiration in this unforeseeable lifetime.

Have a good day, everyone.
